1. Be Concise and Simple
Amateur writers often fall into the trap of unnecessary complexity and verbosity, mistakenly thinking that good writing means using exquisite, high-flown language with lots of beautiful polysyllabic words, even if they have to look them up in a dictionary. It is not the case.
